Kia ora and welcome to this site
THE PLANNING FOR OUR NEW DEVELOPMENT HAS STARTED. We are changing from RESPONSE to REBUILD mode.
Shortly we will begin to update our information about services, agencies and organisations as they have settled into more permanent facilities. We are also hoping to add a more community focus to the site so that people can connect with all the opportunities available.
If you have any suggestions, ideas or thoughts about what you would like to see included on newzealanders please let us know
In the meantime keeping checking out the WHAT'S HAPPENING page for new events and information.
newzealanders.org has been developed for the disability community. It aims to provide quick access to information and bring some collaboration to all of the supports for people with disabilities.
Our initial role is to assist in the recovery period since 22 February so that people can return to productive lives by keeping you informed of where everyone is at. We also hope it will allow organisations and agencies to support each other and look for creative and innovative ways to improve what is currently in place.
Under each of the category headings you will find a snapshot of the status of each service listed along with a link to their website if available, so you can also learn more about the Christchurch community.
For some organisations recovery has been swift but unfortunately for others the road is slow. Any help that can be given to assist organisations will have a positive impact on the people they support.
newzealanders.org will flourish but only if it is utilised well. Anything will be considered for posting on the site and regular updates would be appreciated, through contacting us here
